When Creepy and Cute Battle it Out!

I think I've been having way too much fun with these guys lately, but when you throw creepy and adorable creatures together, the results are hilarious. Who do you think will win in the end? Will the Mighty Amazon over power the cute cuddly bear? Or will he wait until her guard is down and give her a surprise bear hug attack? I love that last one best of all! He look so completely satisfied with his victory, and the Amazon looks terribly bummed out...but.....look out Mr. Cuddles, she's got a spear and she knows how to use it!

So Cute it Hurts!

These are crocheted toys created from patterns found in Ana Paula Rimoli's 2 books: Amigurumi World for the Penguin, the Cactus and the Cupcake, and Amigurumi Two: Crocheted Toys for Me and You and Baby Too! for the little bear. Check out Ana's fantastic crochet work at: http://amigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/
Ana is just so talented, and those toys are too cute! She is one of my first and biggest inspirations to learn crochet. Thanks Ana!

Creepy Cute Crochet is addictive! So I made a comic to celebrate it!

Nosferatu and the Amazon have to share a shelf for the rest of their lives, so things sometimes get a little interesting.

Mushroom!!!

I think the detail on the top took longer than anything, but it was a great way to practice backstitches and french knots...the bad news is that I didn't actually record a pattern when i was making him, but I think I'll figure it out....even with the weighted bean filler, I don't know how a fella can balance with a head like that, oh well, he looks pretty happy doesn't he? Probably because he gets to watch me working away while he just sits there...."hey man, I don't have any hands, what ya want me to do?"

Creepy Cute Crochet is addictive!

Christen Haden's creepy cute creatures are so fun and easy to make, I almost have a full dozen of them. Buy the book Creepy Cute Crochet, but also, check out Christen's website: http://needlenoodles.com/home/
to get her free expansion pack patterns! They're so awesome, I even made my own 'classic witch' pattern that I will post a picture for very soon. Thanks for being an inspiration Christen! This little guy is Nosferatu, who was my sister's well received birthday gift!
