In my search for ornaments to decorate my Victorian style bedroom, I came across this crochet pattern for a little doily. The pattern I used is called My First Doily Coaster by Bren G. and can be found by following the link: http://www.geocities.ws/febmommy/doilycoaster.html
The pattern was easy to follow, though I found rounds 8-10 a bit confusing. I ended up winging it by looking at the picture, but I think it turned out beautifully. I skipped the starch and just wet blocked this one.
The pattern says it is a coaster sized doily. Mine measured 6" after blocking. I used size 10 crochet cotton and a 1.5 mm steel crochet hook.
