Elf clobber Gauntlets!

Finally finished my Victorian Hand Warmers! The pattern I used is called elf clobber by schnuddel Kerstin, and is available on Ravelry. I'm really happy with how these turned out! I changed the design a little by adding a lace border to the top of the inner cuff (in cream).

Bellow you can see a close up of the lace pattern I created for the top of the inner cuff. I will share that lace pattern in the future,  as part of a gauntlet pattern I wrote myself :) 

Alicia The Knitted Babe

Finally finished my knitted babe! She was sitting in my ufo basket for the longest time, but she finally has all of her clothes and accessories completed. This summer girl is named Alicia, and she's got real attitude!

She is a combination of sewing, knitting, and crochet techniques that I have learned over the past few years. It was fun and challenging to combine all those skills :) Scroll down for a few more pictures of Alicia wearing all her clothes and accessories.

Victorian Lace Purse

I tried a more complicated crochet pattern out this year. This one is called Topaz Purse by Sylvia Landman. You can find this free pattern on Ravelry by clicking here.

I found this pattern somewhat challenging, and there were a few little errors here and there, but i was able to fix them. I gave up on following the pattern when I got to the lace section across the top, so I just made up a pattern for the lace detail you see there. I'll be posting my pattern for the section I made up sometime in the future. 

Over all, it was worth every minute because I learned a lot, and most importantly, it was for a very special friend :) A nice pattern now that all the minor details are worked out. I will definitely be making a lilac version for myself sometime in the future.

I had originally wanted to make mine black, but that is a recipe for blindness at this small gauge and level of detail! :P
